We have been asked to do a mug n hug for Petty Officer John Garvin-1972-1976. He is a family member of our own Joe Malandro  from NJ WWR, AKA  Joe-Fitter

Our Heroes wife Corrine says he Worked on Airplanes, amongst many other things.

Received 3 Medals that she knows of, 1 for Outstanding Air Force Medal because he served on a Carrier and 1 Wartime Medal, 3rd one she is not sure

1972 he took Oath on the USS New Jersey Philadelphia Co. 347

1972 NAS Memphis A School Supply

1973 USS Intrepid His wife says he was a VA-45 (Intrepids Last Cruise)

1973-75 NAS JES AZORTS (not sure what this means)

1974 he went to the Azores Portugese Islands

1976 VS32 NAS Celil Field outside Jacksonville Florida

John thinks his family is just  taking him to a dinner but it's actually  his 60th  Surprise Birthday Party where we will surprise him too and thank him for his service.

Riding to honor my father (Army, Korean War), great-great grandfather, Hezekiah Ports (Union Army, Civil War), Uncle George (Marines, Pacific, WW II),my son-in-law, Sgt Kevin Russell, served in Iraq and Afghanistan (Army), my fiance's cousin, L Wade Martin (Desert Storm, killed in training accident at Ft Bragg, Army), her uncle Bill Feister, US Navy from 62-66 and spent time in Viet Nam aboard the USS Lexington, and my good friend, Terry Boyer, who served in Vietnam with the Air Force.
