Joseph D. Paravati of Norristown passed away suddenly on February 14, 2014 at age 62 only to join his beloved wife Rose L. (Trapani) Paravati in heaven. Joe was born in Norristown on June 1, 1951 and was the loving father of Joseph D. Paravati Jr., Regina L. Paravati and Adam T. Paravati. He lived each day for his two grandsons Austin Paravati and Rhielan Paravati. Joe was son to Harriet May (Shimer) Paravati and the late Dominic L. Paravati. He is survived by his sister Mary Law and brother Dominic Paravati. Joe was born and spent most of his life in Norristown as a professional welder. He and his wife Rose raised their family along-side of their passion for riding. Living life and having fun along the way was his motto. Joe retired from his most recent position at VCI Mobility to take on new adventures after his wife passed. He was a fun loving brother to many in such groups as the Elks, the Valley Forge H.O.G. and the Blue Comet Motorcycle Club. Joe was a generous man spending much of his retired days helping to support fundraising efforts for families in need. He cherished time spent with his grandsons whether it be fishing, watching the Phillies or playing hockey in the kitchen with wooden spoons and k-cups..."cause that's what babies do." Pop Pop will live forever in their hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to Joe's Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox of Norristown, 200 W. Germantown Pike on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. and again Monday from 8:45 - 9:45 a.m.. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 601 Buttonwood and Marshall Streets, Norristown. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 555 N. Lane, Conshohocken, PA 19428 or http://www.lls.org.
