Let's get out and show John how much we appreciate his service to Our Country! I know he will be blown away by the show of support!

Bio Below:
John joined the U. S. Air Force in September 1950. At Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas he received eight weeks of training and was sent to Mc Chord AFB in Tacoma, Washington. This base was in direct support of the war in South Korea and everything they did was to help fight the war.

John became an Auto Mechanic and was promoted to Private First Class. In June 1951 John received orders to ship out to Camp Kilmer, New Jersey for deployment over seas. He reported to camp Kilmer near Princeton, NJ for assignment to the Northeast Air Command and Mc Andrew Air Base Argentia, Newfoundland, Canada for the next 17 months. There they served as an Early Warning Station to provide the U.S. with a warning of an impending attack from Communist Russia.

He arrived in Newfoundland aboard the USS Goethals Navy Ship in July and was promoted to Corporal. John came back to the States in December 1952 for Christmas and was then stationed at  the New Castle Airport near Wilmington, Delaware for the last ten months of his time in the Air Force. John was honorably discharged on October 17, 1953.

Since then he has supported interests in the military by helping to rebuild a World War two Navy Dive Bomber, helped to start a museum that honored all of the armed services and was the President of that organization. In Philadelphia he joined Chapter 38 of the Korean War Veterans as a member of the Honor Guard.

John moved to New Jersey and joined Chapter 234 of the Korean War Veterans Association of Atlantic County. He became the Commander of the chapter and formed the Honor Guard.

In November of 2012, John became the New Jersey State Commander of the Korean War Veterans. He is also the current Vice Commander of Chapter 234 Korean War Veterans of Atlantic County.
