UPDATE:  DATE and TIME CHANGE!!!!!    YOU HAVE TWO MORE DAYS TO BUILD UP THE HUGGING AND MUGGING!   WE WILL NOW WELCOME EVAN HOME ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12.  REST OF INFO IS THE SAME AS BELOW.

We have been contacted by none other than Mary Conboy to see if we would help welcome home her son Evan from his tour of duty in Afghanistan.   Many of you may recognize the name Conboy.  Mary is the Mother of Adam Conboy , a soldier who paid the ultimate price for his country.  Evan idolized his brother Adam,  and we are going to do our best to show him that we respect and appreciate him and his family.  Mary also runs the Adam Conboy Foundation.  Plymouth and Whitemarsh First responders will be assisting us on this one.   Mom is working on getting his Bio to us and Ill post it soon.

Evan Conboy is a graduate of Roman Catholic High School 2008.  He attended Gwynedd Mercy College but after one year the Call of Duty wouldn't subside.  It was a very difficult decision for Evan given our circumstances, but one he needed to make on his own. I remember his Dad asking him "Evan where would you be today if Adam had returned from Iraq?" Evan quickly replied "I would have two years in the Corp already!!"  his father said "then I think you have some papers to sign!!"  and in March of 2010 he left for Parris Island.  He graduated basic on July 29, 2010 and was assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment - 17 1st Marines, Camp Pendleton, CA.  He deployed to Afghanistan in May 2012 shortly after being Meritorious promoted to Lance Corporal.  Evan served oversea's until April 12, 2013 when he safely returned to Camp Pendleton waiting patiently for his post deployment leave.  Please help my family welcome our Hero Home on Wednesday June 12 ,2013.  It's a day of celebration and we couldn't imagine it without A Heros Welcome and Warriors Watch Riders as well as Plymouth Fire and Police and Whitemarsh Police and Barren Hill Fire Company.  You all have been such a support to our family and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Rally Place:  Friendly restaurant parking lot,  9165 Ridge Pike Phila PA 19128
Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting
