On January 21, 2011 One of our own, Mike Mikos, lost his battle with cancer. Mike was Pamster's companion, a Patriot, a friend to all, and a WWR member. Although he had struggled with his illness the whole time he was with us, he always had a good word to say, a big smile, and a hug for everyone.

We have been requested to give Mike a ride to his final resting place. This will be his last ride on two wheels.

** If anyone would like to  "PRE-STAGE" and ride down together, meet Steve & Cheryl 847-489-1738  at:
           DC/ Phillips 66 gas station 2390 E Algonquin Rd, Algonquin, IL 60102-9604
              time 9:45 -   ksu/depart 10:15 sharp! *****

Staging: Jewel/Osco 8730 Dempster, Niles
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=.....000&t=m&z=14

Time: 11:15am

Ride Brief: 11:30am

It is with great honor that we all escort Mike. I am sure he is riding with all of us on these missions. He would be SO proud of his little Pam, she is a real biker now!! He is sadly missed. Go Bears.

I would like to think this is not Mike's last ride, but rather that he and others who have gone before are riding constantly, finding all the really cool roads to show us when we too get to Region 7.

So it's not "Goodbye", it's "See ya later..  Ride Safe.."

Pam,
You and Mike have that special bond that can't be broken by anything, including death.  He is preparing a place for you so that you can share that bond for all eterninty.  That is a very long time, much longer than you were together here on earth.  I know you miss him, and he misses you.  Today we will help you honor him, as he deserves.  Just one more gift you pass along to Mike.  You are that special gift to him and to all of us.  I am so proud to call you my friend.

We are all there for you today, just as you and Mike were there for America's Heroes.

Proudly standing by,
