Yesterday, I lost my bike key and security fob in Gloucester, MA. A slight inconvenience to say the least...but that is a story for another day.

Today I was riding up through Maine, and for a moment I glanced upward at a crisp blue cloudless sky, and it prompted me to begin wondering if Bill was able to meet up with Al and Papa Joe or any of my other biker angels. I was wondering if he was able to come along with me on the gorgeous ride I took today along the coast from Kennebunkport to Bar Harbor. And then I got a rush of full body chills.

Right after that moment, my friend that was leading pulled over for gas. And then, I suddenly remembered I wanted to call Gloucester PD today to see if my keys might have turned up in their lost and found.

I am still completely stunned that the officer on the other end of the phone told me he had them in hand.

I don't know for sure if Bill had anything to do with this miraculous stroke of luck, but I am going to believe he did.

Sorry, Bill. I can't say RIP to you. I don't want you to rest at all. I want you to stay busy looking after me and the rest of the WWR!

Sadly, I am going to miss the viewing. But instead of saying I will be there in spirit, I am going to say, I hope Bill will be riding with me in spirit. Wednesday morning I plan to ride to the top of Cadillac Mountain. When I get there, I plan to take a moment to say my goodbye as if I were at the viewing. For Mountain Bill, I think a ride to the top of a mountain is a fitting tribute.

I hope that anyone else that knew Mountain Bill, who can't make the service, finds the highest point near them, and rides to the top to pay their respects.

Fefe, I picture some of my loved ones sitting in rocking chairs on a porch sharing stories and watching us.  I see Bill, Al, Stretch, Papa Joe, et al leisurely riding above us.  Of course Bill had something to do with your keys as Al shook his head with a little laugh.

The physical presence is a blurring comfort to the family.  We continually show/pay our respects in our thoughts and deeds.

To Fefe and our other WW family members here or out of State, who can't attend in person, feel Bill's and our hugs as you have your moments of silence.

In honor of Capt. Walter Sigafoos and ADJ3 Paul Moser - still missing

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Mountain Bill, so sorry for your loss. May you rest in peace Bill and know you will "Never Be Forgotten"

My responsibility, our responsibility as lucky Americans, is to try to give back to this country as much as it has given us, as we continue our American journey together.

I remember my 1st conversation with Bill. We were down in Maryland. Asking me about Philly Pd, who, what and such. I didn't know how to take it. I remember our last conversation, about his new/older bike. I'll remember those handshakes with that hug.
The pleasure was all mine Bill. Thanks Bro.

I hope the family is able to read these posts knowing that our words are love for them also.
