Review first post please.
As I plan to already be there when you arrive, I appreciate those stepping up to coordinate rally points and lead the ride up. |

This is truely hard....
Al, I met you for the first and only time at a very difficult time in my life but you helped ease that pain. You came from a far in friendship and respect to my husband, Joe. It was evident that the ride was difficult in more ways than one. I believe you knew it was going to be your last ride and I am honored that you wanted to be at the memorial for Joe.
Please give Joe a hug for me and enjoy your eternal ride together! This one will not end!
Love you Al, Carol
My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you through out the next days, weeks and on............... I've been told you never "get over it". You just get where you can think & talk about it without crying........................ |

Please do me a favor - stop thanking me. We are in this as a team - I'm just the common point of contact. You all know what to do, I count on you to do that, know you've got my back when I screw up, and know I can ask for help. |

I wouldn't miss this for the world. I always counted on Al to give me the needed information for the important events. He was my personal contact point, as I don't really "belong" to any specific group, but to all in general. Al was ever faithful and diligent in getting the word out, whether it was a welcome home, a send off, or a funeral detail, Al was always the one to lead the way for me. Al was the symbol and example of respect and honor to all who have served. There aren't many people with the dedication that Al had. I will be there to express my respect, honor and gratitude to a true-blue American, Al "Bluesman" Philo. It's a shame that the funeral directors previous experience with bikers at a funeral was poor. But he will soon see the tremendous amount of honor and respect that is deserving of a hero. |
