I would say "rest in peace", but Al has so, so many friends and people he has honored waiting for him, that I'm sure he will not be resting, but instead will be partying and shaking everyone's hand for a long time. Al left many friends here, but there are many, many more where he is now. He will never be alone. Thanks for everything Al, you are the epitome of a true American Patriot.

Al I really miss you buddy. Snort is great-he makes us laugh everyday. He went from an all male house to living with 4 ladies-he really likes the ladies. It makes me smile to think of the two of you together-I know he misses you too. Your picture is on the fridge next to PaPa Joe so I can say good morning to you both every day.
And so Snort can see his daddy

MY FAMILY AND I WOULD LIKE TO OFFER OUR
PRAYERS AND SINCERE CONDLOENCES TO THE
FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF BLUESMAN.

IT ALWAYS SADDENS ME WHEN I READ THE COMMENTS THAT
ARE WRITTEN ABOUT SOMEONE WHO HAS PASSED ON.  IN THIS
CASE I'VE READ SO MUCH ABOUT OUR BROTHER THAT FOR SOME
REASON, EVEN THOUGH I NEVER MET HIM, I KNEW HIM.

JON D. WILL NOW HAVE ANOTHER BROTHER TO HELP WATCH
OVER US.

MY PERSONAL FEELINGS ARE FOUND IN THE POEM BELOW.

Robert L. Smith, Jr.

In honor of my Brother, Jon Dreymann and my Sister Deb.
The moon gives you light,
And the bugles and the drums give you music;
And my heart, O my soldiers, my veterans,
My heart gives you love.

Hey there Bluesman, miss you a lot. And I know Mike misses you terribly. And Snort, there are times he wakes up and I think he is looking for you. That goofball cracks me up and I can just picture you two together. He is doing great minus almost sitting on the chihuahua

Miss you-

Al, you can rest in peace knowing Snort is in a home with nothing but love for him and the rest of the animal clan.
When the day comes to lay Snort to rest, his ashes will be by your side and you two will once again be together.

And Al, I found that piece of Georgia you were looking for.

Hey buddy, I just lost a very good friend of 15 years. My lab/keishound Moo. You and I talked about her a lot. I know you will take good care of her for me. I'm sad but I bet she is already sitting in your lap. I didn't get to say goodbye so please love on her for me.

Hey buddy..you and Snort are together again. That makes me smile even though my heart breaks every time I walk into the house and he isn't here. Patrick and I fell in love with him during the short time we had him. Heck I fell in love him just by pictures you would post or stories you would tell me. He was such a good dog. We are grateful for the time we had with him. He made us laugh every day. I will never forget the first day we got him. We couldn't get over how big he was. He was so big when we put him in the back yard the horses ran from him. And when we brought him inside our two girls didn't know what he was lol. As we were adjusting to him and having such a big dog in the house I found a 7lb chihuahua. So in 2 weeks we got the biggest dog and the smallest dog we ever had inside
And of course the little one LOVED Snort. She constantly ran to be next him but we had to be careful because he could squish her without meaning too. He was so noisy, had to smell everything. Which for him meant putting that big ole nose right on something. He cleared out many of rooms with that gas of his..you never heard it coming. He loved firewood..and the Christmas tree. And he loved to sleep next to me on the couch or air mattress. I know I know, he wasn't a lap dog.
Letting him go was one of the hardest things we have done but we had to. Please give him some love for me and tell him how much we miss him..even Missy.
Miss you Al.
