It is with a great sadness in my heart that I heard from Darelyyn of Al's passing.  It was not sudden, but quick.  I have lost a great friend, and Rainbow Rider has lost her best friend, but we will meet up again with him again at the welcome line he is now part of.  So long Al.  You have now accepted your deverved posting.

All my respect,
Roger

On his death bed and he was raising awareness for WWR and "coined" a nurse..

That was the man in a nutshell... with his dying breaths he set the bar to new levels for all of us..

That old school type of loyalty for friends and causes is something  you're born with .. a true measure of a man's character..

His spot on this planet is going to be hard to fill for sure..

Rest in peace, Al. You are an inspiration.

I was at the 'Teach the Children' ride at Schuylkill Elementary two years ago: when Al got up in front of those kids, he worked magic. It was like he was the Pied Piper! He will truly be missed.

I stopped by Al's school today, and let them know of his passing.

This is truely hard....

Al,

I met you for the first and only time at a very difficult time in my life but you helped ease that pain.  You came from a far in friendship and respect to my husband, Joe.  It was evident that the ride was difficult in more ways than one.  I believe you knew it was going to be your last ride and I am honored that you wanted to be at the memorial for Joe.

Please give Joe a hug for me and enjoy your eternal ride together!  This one will not end!

Love you Al,
Carol
