Thanks to everyone who was able to ride today.

There is not enough room here to list all my blessings so I will just say I work hard and play hard.  Life has been very good to me and I have many people I would like to call friend.  I would like nothing better than to be able to walk up to you as a friend with a smile and say great to see you.

May I suggest that all State Coordinators and ASC's instruct your RC's take a moment on todays missions, durning your ride brief and offer a moment of silent rememberance for one of our own, "Papa Joe" Blasingame, brother, friend and ASC, Georgia. Thank you, all.  T

Excellent idea, T.  And even those who can't ride today should take a moment to think about Papa Joe.
Ride safe.

It's a sad day here in Georgia as we prepare to give Papa Joe his final ride.  Rest in Peace Papa Joe.

We just got home from our motorcycle trip to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.  I'm really sorry to have missed this opportunity to honor Papa Joe.  I really admired and respected him and wanted to be there.  My most sincere condolences to his family and friends.  Papa Joe is going to be sorely missed.

Today's turn out to honor the life of Papa Joe, was a true statement to how the man touched the lives of many. If we manage to have half as many people show up for our final send off, then we could say we did good in life.

Joe it was an honor to have two last rides with you. One yesterday from Atlanta to your home. Then again today from the high school to the armory.

Joe this is far from being a good bye. I know that you will be riding along with me from time to time, as you were last night. I also know that we truly will meet again when I myself make my journey into heaven.

Until then Papa Joe, I hope to " Make It Big " down here with you in mind.

We all made it BIG for Papa Joe this past weekend.  It was an honor to ride for him and with him, to honor him at his services, to toast him at every opportunity, to share memories of him with his family and friends, and to sing "Oh Danny Boy" for Carol and the kids in final tribute on Saturday night.  (The margarita's definitely helped!).

He was my friend, and he will be missed.
