Papa Joe,

We never met, but I can tell you are loved and will be sorely missed.  Family and friends, may the memories of good times eventually ease the pain of your loss.

Heartfelt condolences from me, my family, and all the Illinois WWR.

MISS ME - BUT LET ME GO

When I come to the end of the road
and the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little - but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low,
remember the love that we once shared.
Miss me - but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take,
and each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan;
a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
go the friends we know
and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss me - but let me go!

As most of you know, I homeschool Gracie and Gabriel.

I was just going over their week's work, and in Gracie's Language Arts workbook she had to write a "good sentence" using any noun. We haven't spoken of Papajoe since his passing, yet this is what she wrote today:

Papajoe went to heaven in a whirlwind.

Well buddy we all got together last weekend but you know that because we all felt you with us.
Such a hard thing-to say goodbye again and to watch Carol and the kids say goodbye again. But truly you are never too far from any of our hearts. There are still some days that it's hard to believe you aren't here. I think we all feel like that.  Thank you for being such a good friend. Everytime I start to spaz out I hear you. I will never forget the mission when it snowed and you, Benny and I were in the truck. I was in total spaz mode and you laughed so hard at me Love you.
