To Yvette's family-There is no need to thank us.  Though it broke our hearts, it was also a very high honor to be there to escort Jon and bring him home. We will take care of Yvette and always be there for her.  She is our "sister" and Jon was our "brother".  We will never let Yvette down.   Whatever she needs, whenever she needs it, we will be there.

Lisa

You said it Lisa. Yvette will be well taken care of and we will never let her down. We love her as we love JonD.

With Love from all of us in the WWR family,
Uffda

It is one week ago at this time we receive "the" call. I could not believe it then and I cannot believe it now. It is different now. Now I don't hear him on the phone or talk to him on the net or phone. Now I hear him in a different way, thoughts. So as long as I have those thoughts I will always hear him and he will always be with me.
I miss you sweetie and we are taking care of Yvette. But I didn't have to tell you that...you already know.

Thank you to Patti for helping me with the pictures.  Here's some of the pictures we took(keep in mind - we're no Yvette)

Here's 2 pictures from Friday night.  One at the Oasis waiting for Jon and the next one after we arrived at the Chicago Jewish Funeral Home.

Here's 2 pictures of the flag folding ceremony(I have no military experience so I'm not sure if this is a proper name for it.  I'm sorry if I'm incorrect in this.)  And the last picture is of Jon's bike leaving the serivces.

I've started this so many times only to delete my thoughts or shed tears and feel I couldn't say enough! Jon you made everyone a part of the mission and made us feel like we had known you for years. That is one of my biggest regrets is I only knew you for a year and will miss you dearly. We had fun and I wouldn't trade one moment of your time with me for anything... I love you brother and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers!
They say us Marines when we pass and if we make it to Heaven we guard the gates. Well Jon I am sure you're there recruiting members for the new WWR chapter as they enter through those gates. God bless and watch over us as we ride and complete the missions. We have your back at home and will take care of Yvette and the rest of your family.
Semper Fi brother and ride on!!!
