O M F G !!!!    I did have the honor of meeting John on my first and only mission in Illinois.  He was the person I talked with to find out when the rally was and was so helpful and patient with my constant questions hoping to avoid getting lost in unknown territory.   John was so helpful,  polite,  and welcoming.  When we met he greeted me like I was a long lost brother,  made me feel welcome and at home,  and took special care in making sure to introduce me to the rest of the family.   Had i paid more attention to the forums I would have made the trip back again just to be part of this escort.   I am so surprised and shocked,  John you are and will be missed and remembered!!    Once more,  our friend and brother goes ahead of us to lead the way for those of us who will follow him when it is our time.

this past week has been a blur. Remembering all of the rides, that last lunch at Nicks, wishing I had a recording of your soft calm voice, watching the wind blowing in the trees thinking of you and wishing you were still hear with us. I know in time it gets better. Ride in peace

Not a day has gone by that I didn't think about you or talk to someone about you. They say time heals but I think for this family it's going to take a long time. We love you and miss you. Take care of our soldiers that are with you and show them the love you showed all of us.

Hey everybody.  This is Yvette's sister, Tracy.  I just wanted to try and take a moment to thank you all for everything.  Thank you for being able to bring Jon home on Friday night with such little notice.  Thank you for the amazing outpouring of love on Sunday - not only could we see it but we could feel it. Thank you to all of you for the calls to Yvette to check in on her, Josh, and Jessi.  And just being here for her.  Jon was a truly amazing person that not only his families have lost but the world has lost. The kind of person we just don't have enough of.  You are all wonderful people - but Jon would of only surrounded himself with the best.  Thank you all.  I do have pictures if I can figure out how to post them for you all.

much love to you all for being here for my sister in a way that none of us can.

To all of the Warrior's Watch Family
I'am Yvette's dad and I can't tell you how much it hurts to lose Jon so early in his life. I have been reading all of the posts that so many of you have written and it makes me feel better to know Jon was loved by so many. The family that Jon & Yvette were a big part of was the Warrior's Watch family, I could not ask for her to have a better extended family. When Yvette would tell me about the honor missions or the welcome home missions I could only picture it in my mind. I was always a little worried about my little girl (dads do that) on the back of Jon's bike trying to get the perfect picture. I always knew that Jon would never let anything happen to her. Now my daughter's protector has gone to Heaven and can't put his arms around her anymore. Now their are new arms around her to protect & love her.  Those are the arms of each and every one of the Warrior's Watch family. I will not worry as much now knowing that you are there. I will miss Jon and his laughter, stories & smile. I couldn't have asked God to send her a better man. To all the Warrior Watch family may God hold all of you in the palm of His Hands.  Many thanks to all of you, especially Lisa, Oscar, and Coastie you have done a tribute mission for Jon. Keep my baby safe
   May God Bless, Vet's Dad

To Yvette's family-There is no need to thank us.  Though it broke our hearts, it was also a very high honor to be there to escort Jon and bring him home. We will take care of Yvette and always be there for her.  She is our "sister" and Jon was our "brother".  We will never let Yvette down.   Whatever she needs, whenever she needs it, we will be there.
